CareKit is launching with an app designed specifically for individuals with Parkinson's to see how they are responding and reacting to treatments. The fitness monitoring app will likely go head-to-head with wristband trackers like the Fitbit and Jawbone. 2013. Samsung unveiled S Health app. Samsung unveiled new Galaxy S4 phone that has a built-in pedometer and an app called S Health. The phone has built-in sensors designed to measure the temperature and humidity of your location, which is then sent to the S Health app. The S Health app will also work with third party devices such as glucose meters and blood pressure monitors. In addition, Samsung mentioned the S Band bracelet, which appears to work much like a Nike Fuelband or Jawbone Up, but you can use it when you don't want to carry your phone with you. You then sync your data back to the phone when you're done with your run. There's also a body scale and a heart rate monitor which will send data to the phone via Bluetooth.
